Run a Workplace Campaign

Your kindness changes lives

Each year nearly 1100 organizations and thousands of employees from all sectors participate in a United Way workplace campaign. Most run between September and December but some, called Pacesetters, get involved even earlier and complete their campaigns before the official kickoff in mid-September.

While the main goal is to raise money in support of kids and families in our community, getting involved in a United Way workplace campaign has other benefits too.

Fun!: You and your co-workers can challenge one another in any number of creative and engaging activities and events. Put the “fun” in fundraising with a talent show, cook-off, scavenger hunt or auction. You’re limited only by your imagination, good taste and employer’s endorsement.

Pride and morale: Feel good knowing you’re doing good, and that you work for an organization that cares.

Team-building: Get to know your co-workers.

Personal development: Develop new skills like project and time management, leadership, event planning and public speaking.

Awareness: Learn more about our community.

Regardless of the size of your organization or whether there are five or 500 employees, participation in a United Way workplace campaign is a hugely rewarding experience. You’ll feel great knowing you’re changing lives, plus the most creative, engaging and best-led workplace campaigns are eligible for United Way Spirit Awards during a special presentation each January.
