Leading the way to a better Winnipeg.

“Winnipeg is a great place to live and raise a family. We have the support of family and friends here, but understand that not everyone has that network. That’s why United Way is so important.

Joan Hardy and Tim EdgintonThrough our workplace campaigns, we have had the opportunity to meet the amazing people working on the front-lines to help address issues like poverty and crime, support families and make our community better. The success stories we’ve heard have inspired us to give.”

—Joan Hardy & Tim Edginton
Patron-level Leadership Donors

Every year we publish a list called The Honour Roll recognizing the thousands of passionate Winnipeggers who give $1200 or more towards making our city one of opportunity for all.

We’re grateful for and inspired by the leaders on this list.

2015 Tomorrow Fund Honour Roll

Become a Leader

Real change in Winnipeg starts with Leadership

At United Way, Leadership is a generous expression of community spirit and pride. Beyond a gift, your Leadership is a commitment to our city and everyone who lives here, and sets an example that inspires others to follow.

Leadership is Affordable

Leadership giving starts at just $25 a week – less than the cost of a night out at the movies.

$1200 ($25 per week)

Will empower a young girl like Madison to be proud of who she is and ready to rise above her challenges by covering the cost of six months in a weekly after school program that creates opportunities for improved confidence, new friendships and positive mentors.

LIne2

$2400 ($50 per week)

Will help lay the groundwork for meaningful employment and lifelong financial stability by equipping six workers like Brian with hardhats, boots, and appropriate clothing.

$3600 ($75 per week)

Will help Logan and about 30 other kids with disabilities get off the sidelines and into the game of sledge hockey by covering the cost of 20 hours of ice time.

And of course Leadership Giving is even more affordable considering the tax savings

Leadership is Meaningful

As a Leader, you have many opportunities to connect with people who are equally passionate about making a difference through networking events, tours, presentations and other engaging activities.

Leadership is Inspired and Inspiring

Your Leadership inspires others to express their commitment to our community and work together to build a better Winnipeg. You’ll also be inspired by exclusive Leadership reports delivered right to your mailbox, featuring stories of lives you’ve touched and the strategies and progress your investment makes possible, along with invitations for other opportunities to get involved in ways that interest you.

“We’ve been Leadership donors since being introduced to United Way through a workplace campaign. It just made sense for us. Winnipeg is a great city with a lot to offer in terms of services, amenities and opportunities, but it also has challenges. The best way to address those challenges is by pooling our resources and working together. You don’t have to be wealthy to be a Leadership donor; you just have to see the work that’s being done and realize that it affects us all. Leadership is an expression of our commitment to a better Winnipeg.” – Gerry and Dianna Mauthe

Your Leadership will be recognized in United Way of Winnipeg’s Honour Roll, so as to inspire others to follow the example you have set.

Make your Leadership gift online today.
