The Bombers kicked off the Banjo Bowl weekend by giving back to their community! The Blue Bombers and United Way have a long history that’s included half-time events, player appearances and ticket partnerships, and financial support. This year, they once again presented United Way with a $5,000 donation as part of their Banjo Bowl activities.
“Working with businesses, we see all the time what’s happening in the community,” says Wendy Stephenson, the Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce. “For Winnipeg to succeed, the community as a whole needs to succeed. We want to be out there helping more than just business.”
