Koats for Kids would not be what it is without the help of our incredible and dedicated team of 154 volunteers, who collectively contributed over 2,000 hours to sorting donations, filling requests, and delivering packages of warm winter clothing to families and children throughout our community.
Thank you as well to our volunteer sewers and knitters who used their talents to mend clothing and handcraft beautiful hats, mittens, and scarves. Every volunteer brought with them a sense of hope and positivity, which made the Koats for Kids headquarters such a warm and wonderful place to be.

A huge thank you goes out to our community partners who helped keep our program running. Thank you to the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service, Access Storage, Perth’s Dry Cleaners, and Toys R Us for accepting and storing donations on our behalf.
Thank you to AMJ Campbell, as well as our Bell MTS and Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service volunteers, for moving thousands of pounds of clothing all over the city.
A special thanks goes out to Birchwood for supplying us with a van and to Domo for the fuel to get it going.
Thank you as well to Motel 6, Super 8, Inn at the Forks, Norwood Hotel, Fairmont, and Airport Hilton for laundering all our donated coats and ski pants.
Finally, thank you to our media partners, including CTV, 103.1 Virgin Radio, 99.9 Bob FM, TSN 1290 and the Winnipeg Sun, for broadcasting our needs to the community at large.
Koats for Kids looks forward to receiving donations again in the Fall of 2021. Until then, on behalf of all of us here at Koats for Kids and United Way Winnipeg, we once again extend a heartfelt thank you.
