This year’s United Way of Winnipeg Annual Luncheon and General Meeting was a chance for us all to reflect upon and celebrate all we have accomplished together in our community over the past year. Truly, we are stronger together.
Along with nearly 900 community members, board members, volunteers, and staff, we were honoured this year to be joined by renowned educator and Circle of Courage co-founder Dr. Martin Brokenleg. Dr. Brokenleg drew the crowd to their feet with moving stories of resiliency, and words on what we all need to be successful as people and as a community: belonging, mastery, independence, and generosity.
Thank you to all of those who joined us at the Annual Luncheon and AGM, and to all of those whose support over the past year in our work has helped bring our city together so people and families can begin the transition from poverty to possibility, support healthy people and strong communities, and help kids to be all they can be.
