We’re igniting the potential of kids, families, and neighbourhoods and making sure help is always close to home through an innovative partnership called For Every Family.
Together with the philanthropic and community sector, Government of Manitoba, and United Way Winnipeg donors, we’re brightening the futures of families in these ways:

What are family resource centres?
They’re our community’s living room, where ordinary magic happens every day.
Nestled in neighbourhoods across our city, family resource centres are welcoming places of safety and support where families can meet basic needs, find belonging, and get started on the path to better lives.
It’s where a refugee family can find community and healing. A single parent can sink into a cozy sofa and work on their resume while their kids make crafts. An unsheltered Winnipegger can eat a warm meal, do laundry, and get help finding housing.
Government of Manitoba Partnership
The Government of Manitoba recognizes the impact of family resource centres in our community.
$7.5M in donations raised by vision philanthropists were matched by the Government of Manitoba from 2016-2022. The Government of Manitoba has generously agreed to continue to support the initiative, matching donor gifts up to $4.5 million over three years ending March 31, 2025.
