How the Funding Framework Review will work
The review phases will run through May 2027.
Phases
Listening and Discovery
Through fall 2026, we're engaging agency partners, donors, volunteers, staff, board members, community organizations, partners and other interest holders to shape our funding framework.
Analysis and Report Back
In the months that follow, we'll analyze input and write a 'What We Heard' report. This report will be shared, and further engagement will occur.
Review and Approval
In Spring 2027, a United Way Winnipeg Funding Framework, grounded in the 'What We Heard' report will move through formal governance review before going to the Board for final approval.
Your Voices
The process is designed to learn from people who experience the current funding approach from different vantage points. The project team will analyze what it hears, identify where perspectives align or differ, and bring that learning into framework options and recommendations.
We appreciate when people choose to share their time and knowledge, and we commit to:
– being clear about what we want to know and why
– not asking for input we do not intend to use
– sharing what we heard, where input shaped decisions and where it did not
